<p>You can blend textures on the object surface using vertex color map, it works in conjunction stored vertex selections. In this tutorial we will explore vertex color map capabilities.If you directly jumped to this tutorial and are not aware of channels, please first visit &#8220;Understanding Channels&#8221; tutorial.</p>
<p>Open up lady01.max. We will use composite material type for this purpose as it layers complex materials and maps. It is made up of other maps. For this kind of map use images that contains an alpha channel. For composite map display driver must be OpenGL or Direct3D. The composite map uses opacity to determine that how the different material overlay the base material. We would use opacity map to give our selection different colors.</p>
