You can use Zoomify to make high quality images fast and easy to view, then viewer can pan and zoom to see more details. Photoshop exports the JPEG and HTML files and a small flash object that you can copy to your website. The basic image loads in the same time as an equivalent size jpeg file.

Open the image, kissing.jpg or you can load any high-res picture. This picture is taken from SXC.HU website, a website dedicated to provide free footage. Choose File > Export > Zoomify.
Once you select the command a new window will appear where you can set all the parameters for zoomify.
Template: - You can set the background and navigation style from template drop down. For demonstration purpose, choose the last option, “Zoomify viewer with navigator (White Background).
Folder: - Set the output folder where all the image slices and the html file would be saved.
Base Name: - Specifies the name of the image.
Image Tile Options: - Specifies the quality of the image. You can also set JPEG compression from here.
Browser Options: - Sets the Width and Height of the base image. Open in Web Browser checkbox will launch the web browser and show you zoomify effect.
Click the OK button to start the file creation process. Play with the navigational controls. Once you are satisfied upload the files to your web server.
